With some of the news I've been reporting lately, I thought I would reassure people that Electric Velocipede is doing fine and will be published at least twice this year.
I'm currently heavy into editing the issue and working with assistant editor Anne Zanoni to gather up information so we can keep the process moving along. With a baby coming in March, I want to be done with this issue next month. I'll be done editing tomorrow, and then edits off to the authors, and layout, etc.
The new issue will feature a cover by Thom Davidsohn, with fiction and poetry by Nina Alvarez, Elizabeth Barrette, KJ Bishop, K. Tempest Bradford, Darin C. Bradley, Cris Cox, Toiya Kristen Finley, Lawrence Greenberg, Merrie Haskell, Loreen Heneghan, Damon Kaswell, Barbara Krasnoff, Matthew Kressel, Richard Larson, Yoon Ha Lee, Katherine Mankiller, David McLean, M. E. Parker, Mercurio D. Riveria, Chris Roberson, Linda Ann Strang, Pat Tompkins, Trent Walters, Matthew Wanniski, Caroline Yoachim, and Marly Youmans.
We are also continuing our food column and question set with more food writing from Penelope O'Shea and author Will Shetterly takes our Blindfold Taste Test. I may have a few stories to add to this issue; I'll have to see how things go once I start laying it out.
